The Golden city Jaisalmer is very famous in the state of Rajasthan, founded in 1156 AD. The reason why it is known as the Golden city is because of the yellow sandstone used in the buildings. This mesmerizing city is located at the heart of the Thar Desert. The marvellous architecture and incredible construction owe itself to the Maharaja of Jaisal Singh.
